Detailed Itinerary

  • Start your journey from Haridwar, which is well-connected by road and rail.
  • Drive to Guptkashi, a small town in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand.
  • Check-in to your hotel or guesthouse and rest for the night.
  • After an early breakfast, drive to Gaurikund, which is the base camp for the Kedarnath trek.
  • Reach Kedarnath, one of the holiest shrines of Lord Shiva, and visit the Kedarnath Temple.
  • Stay overnight in Kedarnath or return to Gaurikund, depending on your preference.
  • If you stayed overnight in Kedarnath, you can attend the morning aarti at the Kedarnath Temple.
  • Trek back to Gaurikund or take a ride on a pony or palanquin.
  • Drive back to Guptkashi and rest for the night.
  • After breakfast, depart for Chopta, which is the base camp for the Tungnath and Chandrashila trek.
  • The drive to Chopta is quite scenic, passing through lush forests and picturesque landscapes.
  • Check-in to your accommodation in Chopta and relax for the night.
  • Start early in the morning for the trek to Tungnath, the highest Shiva temple in the world.
  • Continue the trek to Chandrashila Peak, which offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayas.
  • After visiting the temple and enjoying the views, trek back to Chopta and stay overnight.
  • Drive to Sagar village, which is the starting point of the trek to Rudranath.
  • The trek to Rudranath is around 22 kilometers and takes you through dense forests.
  • Reach Rudranath and visit the Rudranath Temple.
  • Stay overnight in Rudranath or camp nearby.
  • Begin your trek from Rudranath to Madhyamaheshwar, which is about 18 kilometers away.
  • The trek is moderately challenging, but the scenic beauty makes it worthwhile.
  • Visit the Madhyamaheshwar Temple and spend the night in the vicinity.
  • Trek from Madhyamaheshwar to Kalpeshwar, which is around 14 kilometers.
  • Kalpeshwar is known for its small cave temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.
  • Explore the temple and surrounding areas, then stay overnight.
  • After breakfast, drive back to Haridwar, concluding your Panch Kedar Yatra.
  • You can spend some time in Haridwar, attending the Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri or visiting other sacred sites.
