Detailed Itinerary
- Haridwar to Barkot (170 km | 7-8 hours by road)
- Barkot to Janki Chatti (45 km | 2 hours by road)
- Janki Chatti to Yamunotri (6 km trek | 3-4 hours)
- A moderately steep trek through scenic forests.
- Pony, palki, and doli options available.
- Visit Surya Kund (hot spring) before darshan.
- Return to Barkot for an overnight stay.
- Barkot to Uttarkashi (80 km | 4 hours by road)
- Uttarkashi to Gangotri (100 km | 4-5 hours by road)
- A scenic drive along the Bhagirathi River.
- Visit the Gangotri Temple, dedicated to Goddess Ganga.
- Option to trek to Gomukh Glacier (18 km from Gangotri), the origin of the Ganges River.
- Return to Uttarkashi for an overnight stay.
- Uttarkashi to Guptkashi (220 km | 9-10 hours by road)
- Guptkashi to Sonprayag (30 km | 1 hour by road)
