Detailed Itinerary
- Start your journey from Haridwar early in the morning.
- The distance from Haridwar to Joshimath is approximately 270 kilometers and can take around 9-10 hours by road.
- En route, you will pass through scenic towns like Rishikesh, Devprayag (the confluence of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers), and Rudraprayag.
- Reach Joshimath, a town in the Chamoli district, in the evening.
- Check into your hotel or guesthouse and relax.
- Prepare for an early start the next day.
- After breakfast, drive from Joshimath to Govindghat, which is around 20 kilometers away.
- From Govindghat, the trek to Ghangaria begins. It's a 13-kilometer trek that takes around 4-6 hours.
- Ghangaria is a base camp for the Valley of Flowers and Hemkund Sahib.
- Check into your accommodation in Ghangaria (there are lodges and guesthouses available).
- Spend the evening exploring the beautiful surroundings and acclimatizing to the altitude.
- Early morning, start your trek to the Valley of Flowers.
- The Valley of Flowers trek is approximately 5 kilometers each way and can take about 4-6 hours, depending on your pace.
- Enjoy the stunning landscapes and the diverse range of alpine flowers in full bloom.
- Spend several hours exploring the valley, taking photographs, and enjoying a picnic lunch.
- Head back to Ghangaria in the afternoon.
- Rest and relax in Ghangaria in the evening.
- Begin your trek to Hemkund Sahib, a Sikh pilgrimage site, early in the morning.
- The trek to Hemkund Sahib is around 6 kilometers and can take 4-5 hours.
- Visit the beautiful Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara and the pristine Hemkund Lake.
- Descend back to Ghangaria in the afternoon.
- Spend the evening at leisure in Ghangaria.
- After breakfast, trek back to Govindghat.
- From Govindghat, drive back to Joshimath.
- Check into your hotel in Joshimath and relax for the evening.
- You can explore Joshimath or visit the famous Badrinath Temple if time permits.
- After breakfast, start your journey back to Haridwar.
- Drive through the scenic landscapes and stop for lunch at a suitable place.
- Reach Haridwar in the evening, concluding your Valley of Flowers trip.
