Detailed Itinerary

  • Start your journey from Haridwar, passing through Rishikesh, Dehradun, and Mussoorie.
  • Reach Barkot, a scenic town near Yamunotri, and stay overnight.
  • Travel by road to Janki Chatti, the base camp for the Yamunotri trek.
  • Alternative stop: Hanuman Chatti (13 km before Yamunotri).
  • The trek from Janki Chatti to Yamunotri is moderately challenging.
  • Pony, palki, and palanquin services are available for those unable to walk.
  • En route, enjoy scenic views, hot water springs, and divine landscapes.
  • Visit the Yamunotri Temple, dedicated to Goddess Yamuna.
  • Take a dip in Surya Kund (hot water spring) before offering prayers.
  • After darshan, trek back to Janki Chatti and drive to Barkot for an overnight stay.
  • Travel back via the same route and conclude the pilgrimage in Haridwar.
